Leonia, Palisades Park, Edgewater Rotary Hosts India Eye Doctor

PALISADES PARK, N.J. – The Rotary Club of The Palisades will welcome the Sankara Eye Institute at their Friday, Dec 4 breakfast meeting at 7:30 a.m.

Dr. R.V. Ramani will be featured guest at the Rotary Club of the Palisades meeting Friday, Dec. 4.

R. V. Ramani, M.D. will talk to the Rotary about the work and mission of Sankara Eye Institute, which is a major force for eye health in India, founded in the early 1970’s, and completes 500 free eye operations daily.

Sankara Eye Institute has provided over a million eye operations, free of charge, to the people of India, where it is a major resource with a reputation for delivering excellent care.

Dr. Ramani is one of the directors of the institute, which is in Coimbatore, South India.

Rotary Club of The Palisades serves Edgewater, Leonia, and Palisades Park and meets every Friday morning for one hour at 7:30 a.m. at the Gotham City Diner, 550 Bergen Blvd, Ridgefield. All participants buy their own breakfast.
