For those who like to sing and learn about music, sign up this week. The workshop begins Saturday, Feb. 6, from 10-noon and runs for nine weeks on Saturday mornings, with a recital/performance before an audience on week 10, on the Drill Hall Theater Stage on Saturday, April 9.

All musical levels and talents are welcome. The workshop is open to everyone, from beginners to leading performers. The emphasize is on having fun, singing and performing before a paying audience on stage.

The cost for the 10-week program is $120 for guild members, and $180 for non-guild members ($60 is applied towards a one-year guild membership, which entitles members to one free ticket to each main stage performance).

If already a guild member, make a check out to Victoria Casella for $120 and bring that to the first workshop. If not a guild member, please make out a $120 check to Victoria Casella, and a second check for $60 made out to Players Guild of Leonia.

Participants will also fill out a membership form and return that to the guild. For this first workshop, be ready to sing for Casella, preferably a Broadway show tune or popular song. Sheet music is welcome -- Casella will accompany.

Founded in 1919, the Players Guild of Leonia is a nonprofit, resident acting company at the Civil War Drill Hall Theater (circa 1859). For further questions, or for those who are interested in the Music Workshop, please email rklein7777@gmail.comor carol.fisher@optonline.net, call 201-947-9606 or click here.
