ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. – Unilever in Englewood Cliffs is one of the top 10 companies in the U.S. for working mothers, according to a list released by Working Mother Magazine.
“Those with kids can access convenient childcare, from priority slots at 36 childcare centers to subsidized backup care available 50 days per year. In 2016, the employer increased maternity leave to 16 weeks and debuted breast-milk shipping,” according to Working Mother Magazine.
The magazine created a list of 100 best companies, based on applications that included more than 400 questions on leave policies, workforce representation, benefits, childcare, advancement programs, flexibility policies and more.
According to the magazine, Unilever was also chosen because: “Female executives talk about their careers in a special ‘breakfast series’ at this consumer-products company, where they occupy 50% of P&L positions and lead 33% of all divisions worth $1 billion or more. Hosted by the in-house women’s network, GALvanize, these interesting lectures remind members to aim high in their own lives. Mentoring circles, development programs and a male allies group support their trajectory.”
Other New Jersey companies on the top 10 list include: Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick, Prudential Financial in Newark and Zoetis in Parsippany.
