The Borough Council agreed this week to allow outdoor dining from May 1 through Oct. 20 at restaurants that meet certain conditions, said NorthJersey.com. There will be a $250 license, and restaurants also may have to get site plan or layout approval and have their state liquor license amended, NorthJersey.com reports.

While some, including local officials, look forward to outdoor dining in warm weather, others worry it will create noise problems and potential underage drinking issues, NorthJersey.com said.
