"I think we can really offer Edgewater something it does not have yet," said Pearson, who specializes in textured hair. "Edgewater is a diverse neighborhood that needs a salon like mine."
Pearson brings 22 years of hair styling experience to her new River Road salon. She previously worked as the head hair stylist for Black Entertainment Television (BET), and also works with actress Naomi Campbell and singer Jill Scott.
The Mount Vernon native studied under Vidal Sassoon and Paul Mitchell.
"I've only been open a week but my schedule is already filled with all my New York City clients because they know it is worth the trip," Pearson told Daily Voice."I look forward to offering my services to Edgewater."
